Oceanside Garage Door Opener Repair
If you ever stand back and give your garage door a true examination, you’ll notice that it’s comprised of many moving pieces. All of these components work effortlessly together to lift and close your garage door. Unfortunately, if one of those components experiences a malfunction, it can affect the operation of the entire door.
There are a handful of common problems that homeowners tend to experience with their garage doors.
- Roller issues
- Remote and pin pad malfunctions
- Sensor faults
- Motor problems
- Cable and spring issues
Your garage door relies on rollers that run through a series of tracks to move your door up and down. These rollers must get lubricated on a regular basis with a white lithium solution to function appropriately. They can stop your door from opening or closing when they lack adequate lubrication.
Additionally, if your door won’t open or struggles to open, its roller’s sensitivity level may need to undergo adjustment by a garage door repair professional.
If you’re like most homeowners, your garage door has a hardwired pin pad on its exterior and at least one remote you keep inside of your vehicle. When your remote isn’t working, it could be due to dead batteries, the child lock being on, or the remote losing its programming.
A quick way to ensure it’s a remote problem is to attempt to open your garage door with your pin pad. If it opens, then you know the remote is the source of your headache.
Your garage door will have two photo eye sensors placed across from each other on the inside of your door. When the sensor eyes meet up perfectly, the door will open.
However, if there’s any break in the sensor eyes, the garage door won’t be able to open due to safety concerns. Unfortunately, if your sensors come out of alignment or they get dirty, your door may not open.
